Elena Banda

Elena works for ARCO as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the Impact Unit, dealing with monitoring, interim, final and impact evaluations at national and international level,
conducted through different methodologies and mixed methods.

She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and then a Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Milan. She participated in an exchange programme with the University of Brussels to deepen her knowledge of EU and immigration law. Following this, she completed a second-level Master’s degree at the University of Pavia in Cooperation and Development.

Elena has gained experience in the development of monitoring tools and project evaluation in various fields of intervention. Previously, she worked in the field in the management and monitoring of cooperation projects, in Lebanon and Tunisia, and remotely in Syria and Libya, with several NGOs and did an internship at the Italian Representation to the United Nations in Geneva.

Her main interests are in the MENA region, migration and gender issues.
